Peggy Pogue Steiner
A Manhattan native associated with Point Lookout for more than 50 years, Peggy earned her undergraduate degree from Smith College and holds an MBA in Finance from New York University. Peggy worked with the former Meier Realty from 2013-January 2018. Prior to that she was a Gold Level producer for William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty, and was with the Garden City office of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s. Before entering real estate, Peggy was the Director of Business Development for Rockefeller & Company, and was the top salesperson for U.S. Trust Company of New York, where she established the Garden City office for the firm, as well as working with clients in the New York headquarters.
Peggy is a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Long Island Board of Realtors. A former Town of Hempstead ocean lifeguard, she enjoys time at the beach whenever possible, volunteers with the Point Lookout-Lido Fire Department as an Emergency Medical Technician, where she was voted 2017 Firefighter of the Year, is a member of the Point Lookout Civic Association Board of Directors, and is a member of the Pastoral Council of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church.
Taking tremendous pride in where she lives, Shana undertook a major career change to enter the field of real estate in order to help clients with selling, buying, or renting properties in the barrier island communities of Point Lookout, Lido Beach, Long Beach, East Atlantic Beach, and beyond. Shana prides herself on living the Saltwater Realty business ethic of always doing the right and honorable thing for a client. She strives to make the real estate buying and selling process as enjoyable as possible for her clients, and promises an honest, fair, and professional experience in every interaction.
When Shana is not spending time at Saltwater Realty, she can be found with her family or volunteering with one of the several organizations with which she is affiliated. She is a nineteen year member of the Point Lookout Lido Fire Department, where she is a firefighter and Emergency Medical Technician, and has been an active and enthusiastic leader of a large Girl Scout Troop in the Island Beach Service Unit. Shana is also an active member of the Point Lookout Community Church. Enthusiastic easygoing and upbeat, Shana is always up for an adventure.
